The more and more this website evolves, the more and more has to be put into maintaining and organizing it.
We have made a few additions and changes to the website. Mostly in the form of layout and consolidation. We are trying to pare down the menu at the top of the page to be a little more interactive and informative. We are finding that in the previous state, folks were not finding everything easlily. We hope this is a little more intuitive.

Well today "officially" started the decorating. We got the roof line put out and the Bellagio poles wrapped and the window frame lights installed. When you type it out, it really doesnt seem like that much... huh..
Oh well, I have all this week to finish the porch and wrap the trees in the yard, then I will be off the entore week of Thanksgiving which will give me a chance to mow the yard one last time before putting out the yard display... Take a breath .. breath in .. breath out ... Well is the result of a couple of days of working on the mini North Poles. Each pole is 3" PVC, painted red, striped with painters tape, painted white and VIOLA !! A North Pole .. The DMX parts may be here today so I will begin work on building the RGB toppers. I ordered the 8" globes for the toppers from Superior Lighting. They should be here ina week or so. I'm did take some pictures along the way and hope to add this project to how-to list. Very excited about these. A few weeks ago Sandra and I were interviewed by Postcards Magazine. Its a local magazine published here in Walker county. They have two editions. The Piney Woods edition and the Montgomery County edition. We are in the Piney Woods edition.
This week they began distribution. Several receive the magazine in the mail. There are several businesses around that also have it in the rack. There is also an electronic version. You can go to http://postcardslive.com/ and view the article. We are very excited and nervous at the same time. You can also go directly to the article (while this edition is current) from here http://postcardslive.com/fullscreen/novdec12pw/ Well, in typical Bob fashion (Sandra is WAY more practical) I sold Sandra on a new display element. We are adding eight (8) mini North Poles with RGB LEDs in the globe and controlled by DMX.
Okay Bob, so whats the big deal? Well....... I have to build 8 of them between now and Thanksgiving I have to add them in to the sequences of all our songs Oh yeah .. this will be our first step into DMX controll along side our LOR equipment. (YIKES) We are doing a little modifcation to the North Pole toppers at David Moore's HolidayCoro site. ( http://holidaycoro.com ). David has some GREAT ideas and we are one of his customers. Stop in and visit his site. You will be suprised. Coro isnt just for making signs!!! |
